چکیده
Background: Neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, and others are becoming more common globally due to people’s changing lifestyles. Furthermore, the presence of Blood-Brain barrier other limitations oral routes administration makes drug delivery brain somewhat tricky. As a result, numerous novel systems being developed for brain. However, nose-to-brain is one most effective, safe, non-invasive methods. Purpose: To discuss system in treatment various provide information about formulation strategies designed deliver effectively. Methods: A preliminary search was conducted PubMed, OVID Medline, Embase, ScienceDirect, Web Science, Google Scholar databases using keywords “Intranasal delivery, transport, formulations intranasal delivery.” Results: Various marketed listed this review, like naringenin, donepezil, pentamidine, rivastigmine, efavirenz, desvenlafaxine, lamotrigine, haloperidol, nimodipine, olanzapine, valproic acid, ovalbumin, clonazepam, fentanyl citrate, nifedipine form poloxamer chitosan-based nano-formulation, nano-emulsion, chitosan niosomes, containing emulsion, solid-lipid nanoparticles, PLGA-chitosan solution, mucoadhesive microemulsion, nanostructured lipid carriers, cationic liposomes, peptide-attached multimellar liposomes with their research findings treating disorders. Conclusion: This review discusses processes, pathway its action, advantages over routes, barriers system, current transport.

A Review on Nose-to-Brain Drug Delivery
Intranasal route of administration shows potential for delivery of drugs to brain. The nose-to-brain drug delivery of drugs is advantageous as it requires low dose of drug, avoids first pass effect. Also it is fast in action and suitable for the drugs that degrade in gastrointestinal tract. Nose-to-brain delivery also avoids blood brain barrier which is important factor to be considered in form...

متن کاملCurrent Strategies for Brain Drug Delivery
The blood-brain barrier (BBB) has been a great hurdle for brain drug delivery. The BBB in healthy brain is a diffusion barrier essential for protecting normal brain function by impeding most compounds from transiting from the blood to the brain; only small molecules can cross the BBB. Under certain pathological conditions of diseases such as stroke, diabetes, seizures, multiple sclerosis, Parki...
متن کاملFormulation and Evaluation of Thermosensitive Biogels for Nose to Brain Delivery of Doxepin
Thermoreversible biogels can serve as effective systems for delivery of drugs through nose with increased nasal residence time. The objective of this study was to use chitosan and glycerophosphate based thermoreversible systems for delivery of doxepin to brain through intranasal administration. Formulations were prepared by admixture of suitable dilutions of chitosan and glycerophosphate with o...
